Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Staff Structural Engineer (PE or Senior EIT) to join our USA hybrid team. The role focuses on leading structural design across sectors, mentoring engineers, and delivering high‑quality solutions for manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, and rail projects.

Candidates should have 6+ years of project experience, a PE license or be preparing for the PE exam within six months, and a strong command of US codes (IBC/ACI/AISC) with proficiency in RISA/ETABS and Revit/AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of structural engineering project experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Senior EIT preparing for the PE exam within six months.
• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Strong problem‑solving, critical‑thinking, and initiative skills.
• Excellent knowledge of U.S. National codes and standards (IBC, ACI, AISC, etc.).
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (RISA, ETABS) and BIM tools (Revit, AutoCAD).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Engineer of Record (EOR) to establish codes, loads, analysis methods, and tools; seismic analysis experience is a plus.
• Execute technical work with increased complexity requiring senior review.
• Engage across engineering disciplines, office/project staff, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project life cycle; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Develop calculations, plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
• Exercise judgment on work details and in selecting and adapting engineering alternatives.
• Perform Construction Administration duties, including field observation reports, RFIs, and submittal reviews.
• Travel as needed for client meetings and site visits.
