Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Staff Structural Engineer with 6+ years of project experience to join our hybrid USA team. You will guide design across manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, technology, utilities, and rail, mentoring juniors and leading key components.

Licensed PE or Senior EIT preparing for the PE exam within six months is welcomed. Travel for client meetings and site visits may be required, and collaboration with the Engineer of Record is essential to ensure code compliance and quality.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of structural engineering project experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Senior EIT candidate preparing for the PE exam within six months.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and initiative skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of U.S. National codes and standards (IBC, ACI, AISC, etc.).
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (RISA, ETABS) and BIM tools (Revit, AutoCAD).
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Engineer of Record (EOR) to establish codes, loads, analysis methods, and tools; seismic analysis experience is a plus.
  • Execute technical work with increased complexity requiring senior review.
  • Engage across engineering disciplines, office/project staff, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project life cycle; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Develop calculations, plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
  • Exercise judgment on work details and in selecting and adapting engineering alternatives.
  • Perform Construction Administration duties, including field observation reports, RFIs, and submittal reviews.
  • Travel as needed for client meetings and site visits.

Arcadis seeks an experienced Structural Engineer with 6+ years of project experience to join our growing team. Some travel for project work and client visits within the United States may be required.
