Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Lead System Administrator – Storage to architect, implement, and operate Mercy's enterprise storage across on-premises and cloud environments. You will lead storage technology initiatives, ensure data availability, security, and scalability, and partner with infrastructure, applications, databases, security, and cloud teams.

The role requires 5–8 years in storage engineering with NetApp expertise, strong scripting, and experience with TB-scale data platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5–8 years of storage engineering experience focusing on NetApp technologies.
In-depth knowledge of NetApp storage systems, including ONTAP.

Responsibilities

Design and implement storage solutions to meet Mercy requirements.
Configure and maintain storage environment.
Monitor storage performance and tune for optimal operation.
Manage backup and recovery using enterprise tools (NetApp SnapCenter, SVM-DR, SnapMirror, SnapLock, Commvault).
Ensure security and compliance of the storage environment.
Provide 24/7 storage issue support and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with teams to integrate storage with applications and databases.
Perform upgrades and patching of NetApp systems.
Maintain detailed documentation of configurations and procedures.
Automate with Ansible, Terraform, and/or PowerShell.
