Job summary

Koch Minerals & Trading, LLC (KM&T) is seeking a Lead Originator and Physical Trader to accelerate growth in the NGL markets. The role combines origination and trading to lead deal negotiations, build an asset portfolio, and monetize opportunities with cross-functional teams.

Reporting to the Head of NGL Trading, you will develop customer relationships, assess market trends, and monetize origination opportunities across storage and transportation assets in a hybrid Houston-based setting.

Qualifications

• Trading, marketing, or origination experience in the NGL industry (C2-C5).
• Strong industry relationships and knowledge of the physical NGL markets.
• 5+ years of experience in the energy or commodities industry
• Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new customer growth opportunities aligned with business strategies.
• Build asset portfolio by securing storage, transportation, and infrastructure opportunities.
• Lead the negotiation of key deal terms and finalize contracts with cross-functional teams (legal, credit, and trading).
• Monetize origination opportunities and optimize physical NGL positions.
• Develop relationships with customers and counterparties across the physical NGL markets and identify mutual benefits.
• Develop deep understanding of physical NGL markets and identify growth strategies.
