Job summary

TotalEnergies Gas and Power (TGPNA) in the U.S. seeks a Gas Originator to identify, develop, negotiate, and execute complex transactions across natural gas and NGLs, with cross-commodity opportunities to support the U.S. origination strategy.

You will partner with the U.S. Gas Trading Desk and TotalEnergies affiliates to grow the portfolio, optimize value, and drive margins while maintaining discipline on risk, compliance, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in trading, marketing, business development, origination, or commercial activities.
• Proven ability to originate, structure, negotiate, and execute complex transactions.
• Strong understanding of the energy value chain and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, structure, negotiate, and execute complex transactions across natural gas, NGLs, and other energy commodities.
• Develop and maintain commercial relationships with external counterparties and TotalEnergies affiliates.
• Lead all aspects of transaction execution including contract negotiation, commercial structuring, marketing and procurement, and project development.
• Collaborate with Trading, Operations, Risk, Finance, Compliance, Legal, and other functions to ensure successful execution and portfolio optimization.
• Engage with TotalEnergies affiliate management teams to support business reviews and strategy discussions.
• Partner with Gas, Power, and Emissions Trading teams to share market intelligence and provide trading liquidity.
• Maintain and expand relationships across the energy value chain as a primary commercial representative for TotalEnergies.
• Provide market and commercial expertise related to natural gas and NGLs for domestic and international activities.
