Job summary

Primary Recruiting Services is seeking a Lead Financial Accounting & Reporting Analyst in Pittsburgh, PA. You will own consolidation processes, review financial statements and footnotes, and research GAAP matters to support accurate reporting.

The role collaborates with auditors and cross-functional teams, supports acquisitions and integration, and helps implement new accounting policies while strengthening internal controls across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years of public accounting or financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement presentation.
• Experience preparing or reviewing financial statements and footnote disclosures.
• Ability to research technical accounting issues and document conclusions clearly.
• Exposure to acquisitions, divestitures, consolidations, or other complex transactions.
• Strong communication, analytical, and project-management skills.
• Willingness to work in the Pittsburgh office three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Support acquisition-related accounting from initial trial-balance review through consolidation and integration.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and schedules.
• Research complex GAAP and statutory accounting matters and document technical position memos.
• Support accounting for acquisitions, divestitures, and other non-routine transactions.
• Assist with audited financial statements, regulatory filings, board reporting, and management reporting.
• Help implement new accounting guidance and update companywide accounting policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide support throughout the annual audit.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes, systems, and internal controls.
• Gain exposure across the organization’s insurance, hospital, technology, and corporate businesses.
