Job summary

CVS Health Corporation seeks a Waste & Error Certified Coding Manager to lead the Certified Coding Analysts and Team Lead, driving medical claim reviews, coding audits, and compliance with CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 standards.

You will oversee staffing, performance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement while partnering with senior leaders across Legal, Compliance, Medical Directors, Analytics, and Operations in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Active AAPC Certified Coder CPC, CCS, RHIT or RN license preferred.
• 5+ years of medical coding, claims review, auditing, or payment integrity experience.
• 2+ years of people leadership or team management experience.
• Experience leading coding quality programs, productivity management and remediation.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, CMS 1500, UB-04 and reimbursement rules.
• Experience with state/federal policies and coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Certified Coding Analysts and Senior Analysts.
• Oversee audits, reviews, and workload to meet quality and service goals.
• Establish performance expectations and provide coaching and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and documentation standards.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Medical Directors, Analytics, and Ops.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational performance.
