Job summary

Valley Gardens Corporation is seeking a Landscape Designer/Sales Associate based in Charleston, WV. This hybrid role combines client-facing design work with on-site collaboration to turn concepts into tangible outdoor environments.

Responsibilities include creating planting plans, hardscape layouts, bid documents, and cost estimates, while supporting ongoing client relationships and new sales opportunities. Travel to local sites will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscape design and landscaping to create aesthetic and functional outdoor spaces.
• Ability to create planting plans suited to local climate and site conditions.
• Understanding of hardscape design including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and related structures.
• Strong client-facing sales skills including consultation, proposal development and follow-through.
• Proficiency with CAD or landscape design software is beneficial.
• Effective communication, organization and time management with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand landscaping needs and present concepts.
• Develop planting plans and hardscape layouts.
• Prepare bid documents and cost estimates for projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and installation teams to ensure quality implementation.
• Conduct site visits for measurements and feasibility checks.
