Job summary

Client Biosciences is seeking qualified candidates for a yearly contract in the R&D Reagents Development and Bioprocess Engineering groups at the San Jose, CA site. The role involves hands-on laboratory testing, flow cytometry workflows, sample prep, data analysis, and documentation.

Projects include method development and tech transfer from R&D to operations, under supervision. The position requires a BS in Biology or Immunology (or related), at least 2 years lab experience, and proficiency

Qualifications

  • Minimum B.S. degree in Biology, Immunology, Biomedical engineering or related.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in laboratories, academic research, pharma industry, contract research organizations, clinical research, or other relevant industry.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experienced in bench-testing and has effective analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Extremely motivated and willingness to work and learn in a fast‑paced environment, multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on laboratory testing and basic flow cytometry workflows to aid new assays and reagents development.
  • Preparation of biological samples and analysis of flow cytometry data.
  • Documentation, test method development and process validation studies.
  • Support for technology transfer of products and processes from R&D into operations.
  • Work under supervision of a project lead and participate in team meetings.
