Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Laboratory Quality Program Manager to oversee regulatory compliance, quality data monitoring and performance improvement across laboratories in the Nemours system. The role supports lab leadership and quality/safety departments with analytics and reporting.

The position requires a blend of analytical, communication and leadership skills, with travel between NCHFL and NCHDE Hospitals, and a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Health Sciences OR Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical or biological science with an Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Master's degree in business and/or clinical specialty preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in laboratory medicine with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• ASQ or other quality certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards governing clinical and anatomical pathology laboratories and transfusion medicine.
• Create processes and systems to monitor quality data and performance.
• Recommend strategies to improve performance, safety and compliance with lab and medical leadership.
• Monitor KPI targets and communicate with leadership when targets are not met.
• Lead quality control programs and resolve test-system deviations with documented remedial actions.
• Develop IQCP documents and competency assessment programs with supervisors.
• Present quality metrics to leadership monthly and compile CAP-compliant year-end summaries.
