The Junior Software Engineer role at TETRAHED INC is a full-time, hybrid position based in Washington state. It welcomes recent grads and early-career engineers eager to build scalable systems and grow alongside experienced teammates.

You'll contribute to production code using Java and/or Python, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with product managers to deliver features end-to-end while embracing customer-focused engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 0–2 years of professional software development experience (internships, co-ops, or strong academic projects count)
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
• Familiarity with version control (Git), basic Linux/Unix commands, and software development lifecycle
• OPT (F-1) visa status or eligibility preferred; we support OPT candidates

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software features using Java and/or Python
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows engineering best practices
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver features end-to-end
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization
• Learn and apply leadership principles and operational excellence practices
• Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, tools, and processes
