TETRAHED INC is hiring a Junior Software Engineer in Washington for a full-time role. You will join an engineering team, contribute to production code, and grow your skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing features in Java and/or Python, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in code reviews and optimization efforts. OPT sponsorship is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–2 years of professional software development experience (internships/co-ops count).
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and OOP.
• Familiarity with Git, basic Linux commands, and the software development lifecycle.
• OPT visa status or eligibility preferred; sponsorship supported.

Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 / year

About The Role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join one of our engineering teams in Washington. This is a full-time opportunity ideal for recent graduates or early-career engineers who are eager to build real-world, high-scale systems. You will work with experienced engineers, contribute to production code, and grow your skills in a fast-paced, customer-obsessed environment.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software features using Java and/or Python
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows engineering best practices
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver features end-to-end

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 0–2 years of professional software development experience (internships, co-ops, or strong academic projects count)
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
• Familiarity with version control (Git), basic Linux/Unix commands, and software development lifecycle
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
• OPT (F-1) visa status or eligibility preferred; we support OPT candidates

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with at least one of: REST APIs, microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases, or cloud services (AWS preferred)
• Academic or personal projects demonstrating clean coding practices and system design basics
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
