Bradshaw Home is seeking a Junior Product Design Engineer to support the development of kitchen and cleaning products from concept to commercialization. You will work with Product Management, Design, Sourcing, Quality, and Operations to generate concepts, develop CAD models, prototype, test, and assist manufacturing.

This is an early‑career role offering broad exposure to the full product development lifecycle in a fast‑paced consumer products environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering, or related technical field.
• 0-2 years of professional experience or relevant internship/co‑op in product design, mechanical engineering, or product development.
• Proficiency with CAD software; SolidWorks experience preferred.
• Strong concept generation, visualization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Understanding of basic mechanical engineering principles and material properties.
• Familiarity with plastics and injection molding manufacturing processes preferred.
• Exposure to DFM and DFA principles preferred.
• Hands‑on prototyping experience with 3D printing and model making.

Responsabilités

• Generate innovative product concepts through sketching, brainstorming, market research, and competitive analysis.
• Develop 3D CAD models and assemblies for new products and improvements using SolidWorks.
• Create 2D drawings, engineering specifications, and BOMs.
• Build, test, and refine physical prototypes using 3D printing and model making.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet performance, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Research materials and manufacturing concepts, with emphasis on plastics and injection molding.
• Incorporate ergonomics, CMF, and user experience into product designs.
• Participate in product reviews, design evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support DFM and DFA to ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness.
• Track project milestones using Centric, Jira, Wrike.
• Assist with product validation, testing, and documentation.
• Maintain design files, technical docs, and CAD databases.
• Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and teams.
• Stay current on consumer product trends and competitive products.
• Attend trade shows, supplier meetings, and product reviews as needed.
