Job summary

XPECT Solutions is seeking a Junior Data Engineer to support a Federal Government customer with secure, cloud-based mission systems. You will work across front-end to back-end, data, and cloud layers, translating mission requirements into scalable, compliant solutions.

The role requires hands-on leadership and collaboration with security and government stakeholders. The position is hybrid, with an onsite requirement of one day per week, and provides opportunities to contribute to architecture

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen able to obtain a Public Trust Level 6C.
• 3–5 years of Information Assurance experience.
• Experience with Python, Spark, PySpark, SQL and data pipelines.
• Experience with cloud/data platforms and DevSecOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end secure, cloud-based data architectures for federal workloads.
• Develop architectural decision records and reference architectures.
• Lead data pipelines and relational/analytical database design.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps to embed security into CI/CD workflows.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering teams.
