Job summary

Blue Nile is seeking a dynamic Product Development & Merchandising Assistant to support key initiatives across the business, collaborating with Product Development, Merchandising, Marketing, Social, PR, and Creative teams to bring jewelry collections from concept through execution while aligning storytelling, assortment strategy, quality, and brand presentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years prior experience in merchandising or buying environment preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for Data Entry and Reporting (V-LookUps, exporting, etc)
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Collaborative mindset with strong cross-functional communication skills
• Interest in fashion, luxury, jewelry, styling, and brand storytelling
• Proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of projects

Responsibilities

• Support launches, campaigns, photoshoots, PR placements, events, and social content with curated assortments.
• Maintain product database and trackers for accurate style setup and real-time visibility across teams.
• Oversee product sample logistics including vendor communications and timely delivery for review and production needs.
• Manage archive organization of physical and digital samples with proper labeling and traceability.
• Assist in preparation of product reviews, presentations, collection overviews, and assortment strategies.
• Identify process improvements across sample management to increase organization and cross-functional visibility.
• Conduct trend and market research to inform opportunities within the fine jewelry and luxury landscape.
• Support cross-functional initiatives and ad hoc administrative responsibilities as needed
