Job summary

AAA is seeking a Java Engineer to design and develop enterprise applications using Java and Angular, contributing to core insurance-related products. This hybrid role includes 3 days onsite and 2 days from home in Missouri.

The position emphasizes collaboration with product owners and multiple Agile teams, adherence to SDLC practices, and ongoing learning of new technologies to support the full software suite.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java and related web technologies (Angular, JavaScript, HTML).
• Experience with enterprise applications and SDLC best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/SE or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise applications using Java and Angular.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in application development, testing, rollout, and support lifecycles.
• Ensure performance and throughput of applications through analysis and optimization.
• Maintain quality via unit/regression testing, CI/CD, and code reviews.
• Use Jira and other Agile tools to track work and coordinate with teams.
• Communicate designs and plans clearly to business partners.
