Job summary

Yoh is seeking a Software Engineer in Charlotte, NC for a direct-hire position. The role focuses on Java-based real-time payment systems, AWS cloud environments, and Spring Boot microservices.

The candidate will contribute to modernizing legacy apps, building APIs, and ensuring secure, reliable software with CI/CD practices. The team collaborates across product, infrastructure, and operations to deliver scalable financial software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IS/CE/Data Science or related field
• 3+ years in Java software development including design, development, testing
• Experience developing Python scripts for data management and analysis
• Exposure to AWS or other major cloud provider and cloud-native architectures
• Solid understanding of CI/CD and automated build/deploy processes
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and willingness to learn new technologies

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software supporting real-time payment processing
• Write clean, maintainable Java code compliant with client standards
• Develop components using enterprise Java frameworks like Spring/Spring Boot
• Develop Python scripts for data automation and integration services
• Modernize applications and migrate toward cloud-native platforms
• Develop and maintain services, APIs, and automated tests
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and architecture discussions
• Apply CI/CD practices for automated builds, tests, and deployment
• Work with Kubernetes-based environments and AWS infrastructure as code
