Synechron, a global technology consulting firm, seeks an experienced Java Full Stack Developer in Charlotte, NC to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and enterprise software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a Java Developer, Full Stack Developer, or similar software engineering role.
• Strong proficiency in Java, including object-oriented programming, collections, exception handling, multithreading, and modern Java features.
• Hands-on experience developing applications using Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, service communication, resiliency, and distributed systems.
• Practical experience with Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, topics, partitions, offsets, and consumer groups.
• Experience with JPA/Hibernate and relational databases.
• Strong SQL skills, including query optimization, joins, indexing, transactions, and database design concepts.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, and related testing frameworks.
• Understanding of frontend development concepts and experience integrating backend services with frontend applications.
• Experience with Git and source-control workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain microservices architectures, ensuring scalability, resilience, and maintainability.
• Implement event-driven communication and data streaming using Apache Kafka.
• Design and optimize data access layers using JPA/Hibernate and write efficient, well-structured SQL queries.
• Develop and maintain unit tests and integration tests (e.g., JUnit, Mockito) to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend services with UI components.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture decisions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance across the stack.
• Work closely with product managers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver features within Agile/Scrum sprints.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support deployment processes.
• Document technical designs, APIs, and system architecture.
