Job summary

United Way of the Midlands in Fremont, NE seeks a JAG Nebraska Career Specialist to implement the JAG program within local schools. You will collaborate with teachers and administrators to guide students through a project-based curriculum, supporting college/career readiness and data-driven outcomes.

The role requires a 12-month commitment, a Bachelor's in education or related field, and the ability to operate in a hybrid setting with regular school-based activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, social services or counseling; business is acceptable.
• Must meet Nebraska Teaching Career Education Permit requirements within 90 days of hire.
• Must have a current and valid Nebraska driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruction in the JAG Nebraska program to increase graduation rates and post-graduation outcomes.
• Establishes relationships with school administrators and teams to align with school culture and goals.
• Instructs classroom using the JAG Advantage methods (Project Based Learning, Trauma Informed Care, Employer Engagement).
• Communicates effectively with school staff, community leaders, business partners, and JAG Nebraska leadership.
• Documents student progress and data to meet funding and accreditation requirements.
