Job summary

United Way of the Midlands in Omaha, NE seeks a JAG Nebraska Career Specialist Substitute to support student success in local schools. You will implement the JAG model, guide students through career planning, and coordinate with teachers and administrators.

Requires a Bachelor's degree and ability to work in a hybrid setting, with duties including data entry, collaboration with district staff, and delivering the JAG curriculum across classrooms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; focus on education, social services or counseling is preferred.
• Must meet Nebraska Teaching Career Education Permit requirements within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in a program proven to increase graduation rates and positive outcomes post-graduation.
• Establish relationships with school administrators and teams to align with goals.
• Instruct classroom using JAG Nebraska model and engage students daily.
• Coordinate data entry and reporting in JAG Force for funding and compliance.
• Recruit students and mentor them through career planning and college prep.
• Ensure quality assurance and meet deadlines for data and reporting.
