Job summary

United Way of the Midlands is seeking a JAG Nebraska Career Specialist to educate and guide middle/high school students in a project-based curriculum across local districts. You will coordinate support services, engage teachers and administrators, and uphold the organization’s values.

You will implement the JAG Nebraska model with fidelity, monitor student progress, and participate in statewide meetings while transporting students to events as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; focus on education, social services or counseling; business is acceptable.
• Must have a current and valid driver's license to drive to and from school and to in-state conferences/meetings.
• Must be able to work year-round (12 months) in school settings and community events.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruction in a program proven to increase graduation rates and positive outcomes post-graduation.
• Establishes relationships with school administrators and teams to align with school goals.
• Instructs classroom using the JAG Advantage program modules.
• Communicates effectively with school staff, partners, and JAG Nebraska leadership.
• Documents participant progress and data in JAG Force for funding and accreditation.
• Recruits students in collaboration with school advisory committees.
• Manages attendance, grades, and enrollment in AP/dual credit courses as applicable.
• Keeps confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism at all times.
