Job summary

The George Washington University is seeking a Tech Support Associate for the Tech Support Center to serve as a trusted technical partner across campus. You will provide Tier II support for endpoints, classroom tech, and collaboration tools in on-site, hybrid, and remote environments.

Based at Foggy Bottom with occasional travel, the role requires strong communication, discretion, and flexibility for occasional early mornings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience by start date.
• Experience in deskside IT support for software/hardware (Windows/MacOS) and Office 365.
• Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM ticketing systems and collaboration tools.
• Certifications such as ITIL Foundation or CompTIA A+ are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier II technical support for endpoints, classroom tech, and collaboration tools.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software, document interactions in ITSM, and escalate when needed.
• Support Zoom, Google Workspace, Office 365, Box; assist with AV and network issues.
• Mentor student workers and juniors; contribute to knowledge base and SOPs.
