Job summary

Cambridge Mobile Telematics is seeking an IT Security Engineer II to join its security team in Cambridge, MA. You will work on IT security, infrastructure, and cloud solutions, and serve as a Tier-3 escalation point for internal Help Desk.

The role collaborates to implement IT processes, controls, and governance across SaaS, email security, IdP, and endpoint protection. This hybrid position requires in-office presence at least 3 days per week and offers a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience and/or certification in a related field.
• 2+ years in IT Security.
• 2+ years of experience with macOS, iOS/iPadOS, and Windows management in an enterprise environment in a security role.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Understanding of common cloud provider ideologies.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned IT security tasks with independent judgment.
• Collaborate to implement and update IT processes and infrastructure.
• Implement controls to support policy adherence.
• Understand security governance and implement best practices in IT environments (SaaS, email security, IdP).
• Act as tier 1 incident responder and assist in incident response playbooks.
• Participate in security audits and security projects.
• Respond to detections and remediation steps as needed.
