Job summary

PMAT Inc. is seeking an IT Security Administrator to support day-to-day cybersecurity operations, focusing on security monitoring, vulnerability remediation, endpoint protection, and CMMC audit readiness.

You will work with Microsoft Defender, Intune, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 GCC High to investigate alerts, address vulnerabilities, maintain endpoint compliance, and support audit readiness. Hybrid schedule after onsite onboarding in San Diego.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in IT support, cybersecurity operations, or related role.
• Hands-on with Defender, Sentinel, Intune, and Entra ID.
• Experience with Azure administration and VMware vSphere.
• Knowledge of Windows administration and Active Directory.
• Understanding of vulnerability management and incident response fundamentals.
• Ability to document analyses and remediation activities clearly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts and incidents using Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and other tools.
• Prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities; track findings through resolution.
• Support endpoint security, MFA, access controls, and policy enforcement.
• Assist with CMMC and NIST SP 800-171 compliance activities and audit readiness.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, SOPs, and inventories.
• Provide IT support and security improvements across cloud and on-premises environments.
