Responsibilities

• Develop project plans, timelines and milestones for projects of varying size.
• Manage resources within allocated budgets and provide guidance.
• Identify and mitigate risks at the project level with support from senior staff.
• Manage project budgets with oversight to ensure financial limits are respected.
• Ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope.
• Communicate project statuses to stakeholders and escalate issues when necessary.
• Engage with stakeholders at the project level to ensure needs are met.
• Manage vendor relationships with some support for smaller contracts.
• Lead project teams and mentor junior members as needed.
• Make project-level decisions, deferring complex issues to senior management.
• Resolve conflicts within project teams with appropriate support.
• Maintain a solid understanding of relevant technologies, tools, and methodologies.
• Implement process improvements within projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure projects align with departmental or business unit objectives.
• Implement changes within projects focusing on continuous improvement.
• May mentor junior team members on project management skills.
• Handle special department projects as assigned.
