Job summary

The N.C. Department of Information Technology (NCDIT) seeks a Project Management Advisor (PM A) to coordinate state-level IT projects and programs.

You will identify, manage, and resolve enterprise risks, monitor project performance, and ensure adherence to SCIO standards for IT project management. You will collaborate with agency PMOs, portfolio managers, and IT project managers to ensure consistent, transparent project delivery across the portfolio and align with enterprise security,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related IT field and four years of IT project management experience.
Equivalency options may apply for related education and experience.
Proven ability to manage large, complex IT projects and programs.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, collaboration, communication, and inter-agency coordination for large IT projects.
Provide portfolio, program, and IT project management using quality management systems and best practices.
Oversee project financial management, cradle-to-grave scope-cost-schedule reporting and variance analysis.
Identify, analyze and mitigate risks for IT projects, procurement, security, and architecture requirements.
Governance using MS Project, Planner, SharePoint, Power Automate, Power BI, Teams and related MS 365 tools.
