Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Information Technology (NCDIT) seeks a Project Management Advisor (PMA) to coordinate state-level IT projects, manage enterprise risks, and ensure alignment with SCIO standards. The PMA works with agency PMOs to ensure consistent governance and transparent risk mitigation across portfolios.

This EHRA-exempt role may offer hybrid remote work per state policy with weekly onsite requirements, and is open to current state government/UNC System employees with priority

Qualifications

• Experience leading large IT projects and programs with risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, collaboration, communication, and inter-agency coordination over large IT projects and programs.
• Provide portfolio, program, and IT project management with emphasis on quality management systems and best practices.
• Provide project financial management including cradle-to-grave scope-cost-schedule reporting and variance analysis.
• Identify, analyze and mitigate risks for IT projects, procurement, security and architecture requirements, and change management.
• Govern using MS Project, Planner, SharePoint, Power BI, Teams, Power Apps, and Excel for planning and analytics.
