Job summary

The Director of the IT Project Management Office at Fresenius Kabi USA, LLC will oversee the US IT portfolio and PMO activities, aligning with PMI standards and Fresenius Kabi global PM standards. The role manages multiple managers, project managers, and specialists, driving governance, audits, and continuous process improvement.

Onsite in Lake Zurich three days a week with some remote work, the position offers a competitive salary and bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Project Management experience in a technology-based environment.
• PMI certification preferred.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio and SharePoint.
• Ability to operate effectively in a collaborative/ teamwork environment.
• Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop PM professionals through direct engagement, coaching and development.
• Manage the entire project portfolio strategic planning process of IT related business projects including collection, analysis, simulation and mitigation of constraints; define and maintain KPIs and drive improvement strategies.
• Provide direct guidance on IT project resource planning, reporting, portfolio road mapping, prioritization, and budgeting including responsibility for PPM tools, adherence, and maintenance.
• Establish, maintain and refine project and program methodology for delivery of IT initiatives in conjunction with global PMO standards and IT teams.
• Responsible for PPM tool adherence, maintenance and enhancements.
• Serve as a key member of the US IT leadership team to provide visibility into the technology portfolio performance and partner with business members to lead the strategic annual investment process.
• Maintain and track all business submissions, decisions and outcomes for internal reporting and audit tracking.
• Drive governance decisions, visibility, and status with business and IT leaders across the portfolio.
• Direct and manage compliance resources; support them in ensuring compliance on programs and projects.
• Provide leadership to drive adoption and continuous improvements with IT PMO operations including cost tracking.
• Improve project metrics and feedback measurements to ensure professional delivery of projects per PMO standards.
• Oversee multiple projects from initiation to completion.
• Share lessons learned and best practices across programs and stakeholders.
