Job summary

InterDigital is seeking an IT Infrastructure Intern in Conshohocken, PA for a three‑month hybrid internship starting January 2027. You will work with the Infrastructure team on on‑prem and cloud platforms, automation, and IAM, applying AI and scripting to improve processes.

This role is designed for a student with IT foundations who will gain hands-on experience with Nutanix AHV, Cohesity, AWS and Azure while building documentation and runbooks under experienced mentors.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in IT/CS or related field.
• Foundational hands-on IT experience from internships, coursework, or labs.
• Exposure to Windows or Linux, networking, virtualization, cloud platforms, scripting, or automation.
• Understanding of core IT infrastructure concepts and how components work together.
• Strong troubleshooting and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Interest in AI, automation, and improving IT operations.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Hybrid Infrastructure Support: Assist with admin, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting of hybrid infrastructure.
• Cloud Operations & Platform Support: Support AWS and Azure activities including resource management, monitoring, documentation, and governance.
• AI, Automation and Infrastructure as Code: Identify repetitive or inefficient processes to improve via AI, scripting, and automation (PowerShell, Python, Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Identity and Access Management: Assist with RBAC, permission reviews, policy governance, least-privilege practices.
• Technical Research, Documentation and Continuous Improvement: Research technologies, document findings, improve runbooks with AI.
• Infrastructure Lifecycle and Operational Support: Participate in maintenance, upgrades, backups, monitoring, and projects.
