Job summary

Fluor is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Operations Lead to oversee reliability, performance, and evolution of a hybrid environment spanning on-premise data centers and cloud platforms. You will lead a team of engineers and work with cybersecurity to ensure secure configurations and compliance.

The role emphasizes ITIL-based incident/change management, cloud governance on Azure/AWS, and modernization through automation.

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and ten years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to fourteen years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for on-prem and cloud infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, backup/recovery, and monitoring
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of infrastructure engineers and support specialists
• Oversee incident, problem and change management processes using ITIL best practices
• Coordinate major incident response efforts and drive root-cause analysis
• Implement and manage cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) with focus on governance, cost optimization, automation, and reliability
• Maintain enterprise on-prem environments such as VMware, Windows/Linux servers, SAN/NAS storage, and identity services
• Partner closely with cybersecurity teams to ensure secure configurations, patching, and compliance
• Develop operational runbooks, documentation, and environment inventories
• Lead modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, infrastructure-as-code, automation, and enhanced observability
• Manage vendors, support agreements, infrastructure procurement, and service contracts
• Track and report on SLAs, capacity planning, and system health metrics
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance stability, scalability, and efficiency
