Job summary

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey is hiring a lead IT auditor to supervise and execute IT audit work programs. The role is based in Newark with hybrid work requiring in-office presence twice weekly (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

The incumbent will develop audit scope, oversee staff, review SOX 404 work products, and document results following audit policies. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, Information Technology major preferred.
• 4+ years IT Audit experience.
• CISA preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of audit and control concepts, including application and general computer controls.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to prioritize and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Develops IT audit scope and work programs.
• Oversees work of senior and staff auditors; may execute IT audit testing.
• Guides SOX 404 work products and documents audit results.
• Identifies and documents control issues; interviews management.
• Provides feedback on staff and senior auditors’ performance.
• Assists the manager/General Auditor in IT audits and external SAS70 audits.
• Establishes buy-in with management and offers value-added recommendations.
• Provides assistance to Manager/Director in staff training and assignment planning.
• Reviews audit work papers for adequacy and tracking to completion.
