Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a Senior IT Auditor to lead IT audit engagements across technology, cybersecurity, governance and operations. You will establish relationships with stakeholders, oversee audits, and communicate results to management.

You will mentor auditors, apply professional skepticism, stay current with IT controls, and collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure comprehensive coverage. Hybrid work arrangement available in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–5 years of IT audit, technology risk, or related systems experience.
• Strong knowledge of IT audit methodologies, technology and cybersecurity risks, internal controls, and applicable standards.
• Relevant professional certification such as CISA, CISSP, or equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Establishes and develops strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
• Leads IT audit engagements across technology, cybersecurity, governance and operations.
• Plan audit scope, objectives, timelines and resources based on risk.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of IT processes and controls.
• Coordinate with other audit teams and subject matter experts for coverage.
• Communicate progress, findings and recommendations to management.
