Nimbus Consulting is seeking a seasoned IT consultant in Baltimore area to lead engagements that shape major technology decisions for clients, including CMS. You will review designs, assess against standards, and write clear findings for TRB discussions.

You will mentor teams and collaborate with vendors, ISSOs, and product owners in a hybrid role. Five+ years in IT with an advisory background, strong architecture experience, and clear writing are essential.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in IT consulting or advisory roles.
• Proven track record leading client engagements.
• Experience across infrastructure, applications, cloud, or security.
• Strong stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and facilitation.
• Ability to write clearly for technical and nontechnical readers.
• Eligibility for Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review solution designs, architecture artifacts, and change requests for the Technical Review Board (TRB).
• Assess designs against agency standards, the enterprise architecture, and security requirements.
• Find risks, gaps, and conflicts across systems and vendors.
• Write clear findings and recommendations for board members.
• Prepare review packages and support board sessions.
• Track decisions, conditions, and follow-up actions to closure.
• Work with development vendors, ISSOs, and product owners.
• Help improve review checklists, templates, and governance processes.
