Job summary

Tenant is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to drive the technical execution of our core platform. You’ll work with the CTO and product leadership to design scalable systems, mentor the engineering team, and deliver features powering property managers across the US.

You will drive AI-enabled development, testing, deployment, and establish strong engineering practices while maintaining a growth-focused, high-ownership culture at Tenant’s Irvine office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in CS, EC, or IT, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years driving AI-driven development and deployment in complex codebases ( Claude Code preferred).
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Node.js and a modern frontend framework (React preferred).
• Strong command of MySQL, Postgres, AWS RDS, and relational DB design.
• Hands-on AWS experience: Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway, serverless patterns.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and backend tooling.
• Experience mentoring engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
• Unix/Linux experience and Git-based workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead full-stack feature development across SaaS platform using Node.js, React, and AWS.
• Own the SDLC from spec to production support; ensure quality and reliability.
• Mentor engineers, set standards, and drive technical excellence.
• Drive cloud infra decisions on AWS and serverless patterns.
• Establish and enforce development best practices, testing standards, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Communicate progress, risks and trade-offs to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Contribute to hiring, onboarding and scaling the engineering org.
• Lead AI-driven development initiatives and tool integrations.
