Job summary

Origence in Irvine, CA (Hybrid) seeks a Sr. Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain internal tooling and platform capabilities that accelerate software delivery across the company.

You will write production-grade code, design APIs, build automation, and develop self-service tooling for CI/CD, observability, and developer experience. Collaboration with product teams and mentoring others are key components of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience shipping production applications.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET, Python, or TS/Node.js.
• Azure cloud services and Terraform experience.
• Experience designing REST APIs.
• Experience with Generative AI tools like GitHub Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain YAML-based CI/CD templates in Azure DevOps.
• Design and develop internal tools, CLIs, and REST APIs.
• Write Terraform modules for Azure infrastructure.
• Extend Datadog monitoring and OpenTelemetry instrumentation.
• Develop the Internal Developer Portal for developers.
• Adopt modern CI/CD, Blue/Green deployments, and DR.
• Create automated security gates and governance.
• Collaborate with product teams to meet real needs.
• Spend time coding and mentoring others.
