Job summary

Symetra in Farmington, CT, is seeking an Investment Operations Analyst to provide day-to-day operations support for portfolio managers, traders, and compliance teams. You will handle trade entry, confirmations, and settlements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

You will perform reconciliations across order management, investment book of record, custodian and accounting agents; manage corporate actions and other events; support audits, reporting, and ad hoc requests; and contribute to process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2+ years in Investments or Finance related field.
• Strong technology focus and ability to automate repetitive tasks.
• Experience with Bloomberg or other trade order management systems preferred.
• Experience using SimCorp Dimension or similar investment accounting systems.
• Knowledge of fixed income investments and general investment operations.

Responsibilities

• Process investment transactions, including entry into trade order management systems and trade confirmations/settlements.
• Perform reconciliations between OMS, investment book of record, custodian and accounting agents; coordinate issue resolution.
• Process secondary events such as corporate actions, paydowns, capital calls/distributions.
• Maintain client relations by providing timely, accurate information and supporting audits and ad hoc requests.
• Support policy reviews, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
• Provide backup for Trusts or other strategies as needed.
