Job summary

Regal Rexnord Corp in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a System Sales Applications Engineer - Intralogistics to lead pre-sales engineering, size systems, develop BOMs, and craft cost estimates for intralogistics solutions.

The role partners with the sales team to translate customer requirements into technically sound, cost-competitive proposals while ensuring safety, quality, and delivery expectations across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in intralogistics systems applications.
• 3+ years in applications engineering, system sales engineering, or design/estimating in material handling/intralogistics.
• Experience with conveyor modules, sortation, accumulation, pallet handling, and related interfaces.
• Strong ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions and present them clearly.
• Experience developing cost estimates, BOMs, and scope documents for engineered systems.
• Proficiency with Excel-based costing, PowerPoint proposals, and layout review tools (e.g., AutoCAD).

Responsibilities

• Define system requirements, performance criteria, constraints, and success measures with customers and partners.
• Develop conceptual system designs and equipment selections aligned to customer needs.
• Perform preliminary engineering calculations and equipment sizing.
• Build BOMs, scope definitions, and technical clarifications for proposals.
• Develop labor/installation assumptions and cost estimates to support quotes.
• Lead/participate in design-to-cost reviews and bid strategy sessions.
