Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated invites qualified students to join our Global Internal Audit team as an Internal Audit Intern for summer 2027. You will support audit activities, apply data analytics, and assess processes across the organization in a hybrid Westchester, IL setting.

The role offers hands-on experience with enterprise systems, internal controls, and cross-functional collaboration, preparing you for a career in auditing, finance, or compliance within a global manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree with GPA >= 3.0/4.0.
• Able to work 40 hours per week during the internship term.
• On-site in Westchester office at least 3 days per week.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Experience or coursework with data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau) preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with audit execution under supervision by a Manager, Senior, or experienced Staff.
• Document business processes and controls.
• Perform audit testing procedures.
• Evaluate supporting evidence.
• Prepare audit workpapers.
• Leverage data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and risks.
• Identify trends and opportunities to improve internal controls over financial reporting.
• Develop analytics-based procedures for compliance and audit testing.
• Exposure to SAP and Concur systems.
• Evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of accounting controls.
• Ensure transactions are properly authorized and compliant with policies.
