Job summary

Suddath Companies in Melbourne, FL, is seeking an experienced furniture designer to lead layout, space planning, and product specification for commercial offices. You will coordinate with sales, design teams, and installers to translate client requirements into detailed space plans and specifications.

The role requires proficiency in Configura CET, AutoCAD, Revit, and related design tools, plus knowledge of building codes and accessibility standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in design or architecture required; Interior Design degree preferred.
• Minimum three years professional experience in office furniture/interiors.
• Strong knowledge of Configura CET and CAD software.
• Knowledge of ADA regulations and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Consult with sales on layout and space planning of furniture; travel to client site for measurements.
• Create quotes and develop project designs; provide on-site inspections.
• Prepare installation drawings and coordinate with installers.
• Review plans with A&D sets and ensure specs ready for order entry.
• Develop project specifications and verify against plans.
