Job summary

AAA Northeast in Providence, RI, is seeking an Insurance Retention Agent. This role focuses on identifying at-risk policyholders, retaining coverage, and promoting membership benefits while supporting sales and service via hybrid schedule and in-office presence. Training is provided, including license coverage to earn a Personal Lines license.

You will build knowledge of carrier products, services, and processes, and maintain CRM records to support proactive retention and upsell opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of sales or customer service experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and conditions.
• Attention to detail with strong accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and reasoning skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify policyholders at risk of canceling and contact them to retain coverage.
• Reach out to customers for premium discounts, policy rewrites, and cross-sell suitable insurance.
• Provide inbound/outbound phone support to at-risk customers for policy reviews.
• Promote AAA Membership to enroll/renew members for discounts.
• Learn carrier products, services, systems, and processes; quote, bind coverage, process payments.
• Maintain accurate CRM records to support sales prospecting.
• Perform other duties per department policies and service standards.
