Job summary

Jobot is seeking attorneys at multiple levels to join its Insurance Defense / General Liability practice in Dallas with offices in Dallas, Decatur, Houston or Austin. The role offers a hybrid schedule (3 days in office) and base compensation of $110,000–$185,000 plus a robust bonus structure.

Senior candidates will be considered for upper-range compensation. This is a Texas-focused opportunity with a broad docket, direct client and carrier interaction, and meaningful case ownership across

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar admission.
• Approximately 2–25 years of litigation experience.
• Strong written advocacy and legal research skills.
• Experience handling discovery and substantive motion practice.
• Strong client-management and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage deadlines and active matters.
• Trial experience is highly valued for more senior candidates.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of active litigation matters.
• Evaluating liability, damages and case exposure.
• Developing case strategy from inception through resolution.
• Drafting answers, pleadings, motions and substantive briefs.
• Managing written discovery and document production.
• Taking and defending depositions.
• Handling expert discovery and expert strategy.
• Preparing for hearings, mediations and court conferences.
• Negotiating settlements.
• Preparing cases for arbitration and trial.
• Conducting legal research and drafting litigation analyses.
• Preparing status reports for insurers and corporate clients.
• Communicating directly with adjusters, insureds, opposing counsel and clients.
• Supervising junior attorneys and support staff where appropriate.
• Taking an increasingly independent role in hearings, depositions, mediation and trial strategy.
