Kubicki Draper in West Palm Beach, FL seeks an Insurance Defense Legal Assistant with 1+ years' litigation experience. The role supports attorneys with calendar management, drafting letters, pleadings, and reports in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in litigation.
• Prior personal injury experience a plus but not required.
• Must have experience managing attorney calendars/scheduling, and drafting legal documents including standardized letters, pleadings and reports.
• Must have working knowledge of Florida court procedures and be familiar with e-service and e-filing.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling depositions and hearings.
• Calendaring deadlines and trial orders.
• Prepare enclosure documents and packages for mail, messenger and overnight delivery; ensure that all attachments, exhibits and enclosures are intact.
• Prepare, file, and serve legal documents electronically or in hard copy in accordance with the applicable civil rules and local rules.
• Assist with client billing, as well as invoice payment in cooperation with the billing attorney.
• Competent and proficient in Word and Adobe.
• Excellent communication skills; manage deadlines; be detail oriented.
• Must be goal oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast paced evolving environment as part of a team.
