Job summary

Progressive is seeking an experienced insurance defense attorney to join our Bodily Injury litigation team in Michigan. You will represent Progressive insureds and Progressive Insurance Companies in courts and arbitration, handling cases from start to finish.

The role combines in-person litigation work with some remote flexibility in a hybrid model, including occasional travel for training and meetings. A Michigan bar admission and at least two years of auto/general litigation experience are

Qualifications

• Juris doctor degree or Master of Laws (LLM) and a minimum of 2 years general/auto litigation experience.
• Admitted to practice law in the state of Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Represent Progressive insureds and Progressive Insurance Companies before courts and arbitration panels in all aspects of litigation.
• Prepare legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs and negotiate settlements.
• Analyze written discovery, depositions, medical records and assess risk exposure to determine value of claims.
• Work with clients and claims partners to prepare timely litigation reports.
