Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Career level Instrumentation and Controls Engineer for Corvallis, OR, in a hybrid work setup. You will lead design work on advanced facilities, develop control systems and SCADA projects, and collaborate with client owners on schedule, requirements, and implementation.

The role requires a PE license, ABET engineering degree, and 6+ years in instrumentation and control, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Relocation may be provided for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• At least 6 years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
• Understanding of NFPA and UL508A standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Forward thinking with willingness to share innovative ideas.

Responsibilities

• Develop proposals, budgets and schedules for process work.
• Develop and implement instrumentation control for manufacturing equipment and safety/automation systems.
• Provide in-process support of controls in manufacturing environments.
• Design facility control systems and SCADA projects.
• Create P&IDs, loop drawings, control panels and wiring diagrams.
• Develop Sequence of Operation (SOO).
• Present technical results to clients and colleagues.
