Job summary

Homesteaders Life Company in the United States seeks a Manager, Infrastructure Operations to lead core infrastructure services including compute, storage, networking, backup, and data center operations.

You will drive automation, modernization, reliability, and cost-effective operation while partnering with Security and IT teams to ensure resilience and high availability across on-premises and hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, CS, IT or related field.
• 5+ years in enterprise infrastructure operations.
• Experience with hybrid IT environments.
• Experience with lifecycle management, monitoring, patching, capacity planning, and incident management.
• Backup, disaster recovery planning and testing, high availability.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security, automation, scripting, IaC.
• Azure, VMware, networking, Microsoft, Linux, ITIL or comparable certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead core infrastructure service ownership including compute, storage, virtualization, and networking.
• Translate requirements into resilient, secure infrastructure designs.
• Monitor health, capacity, incidents, and drive remediation.
• Improve reliability, disaster recovery readiness and fault tolerance.
• Oversee network, connectivity, DNS, DHCP, load balancing, and related services.
• Promote automation through scripting and IaC.
• Partner with Security on hardening, patching, and access controls.
• Manage vendors, assets, and cost optimization.
• Lead upgrades and change management with testing and communication.
• Coach team members and contribute to IT strategy and budgeting.
• Lead major incidents and off-hours maintenance as needed.
