Job summary

Vitaver & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Hybrid Infrastructure Administrator to work onsite in Houston, TX on a 12+ month contract.

The role requires full-time presence at the client site and a broad span of responsibilities across Windows/Linux, virtualization, and hybrid cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure). The ideal candidate has extensive experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep), DevOps practices, and firewall management across enterprise networks.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows and Linux server administration in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on virtualization with VMware and hybrid cloud management.
• Strong knowledge of AD, DNS, DHCP, and firewall configurations.

Responsibilities

• Administer on-premise server infrastructure (Windows/Linux).
• Configure and manage network components for performance and security.
• Implement and manage firewall rules across SonicWall and Palo Alto devices.

Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions

Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client's site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot on-premise server infrastructure, including Windows and Linux servers.
• Manage and configure network components, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
• Implement and manage firewall rule configurations to maintain a secure network environment.
• Monitor and maintain system health, ensuring high availability and performance of critical resources.
• Perform server operating system upgrades and manage vendor patching.
• Collaborate with the IT team to design, implement, and maintain virtualized environments using VMware.
• Administer and support hybrid cloud environments, including AWS, GCP, Azure, and related cloud services.
