Job summary

Vitaver & Associates, Inc. is seeking an AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer to join a 12-month on-site project in Juno Beach, FL. The role requires 5+ years of AWS DevOps experience and hands-on work at the client site with no remote work accepted.

Responsibilities cover secure AWS infrastructure, IAM, Cognito integration, CDK-based IaC, and CI/CD pipelines. Preferred skills include GitHub Actions and CodePipeline, with experience in energy market contexts a bonus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of AWS cloud engineering or DevOps experience.
• Experience with IAM, authentication, authorization, identity federation, and least-privilege design.
• Experience with CDK infrastructure development and deployment.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based deployment workflows.
• Experience with Enterprise AWS environments and production operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support secure AWS infrastructure across development, test, and production environments.
• Define and manage IAM roles, policies, service accounts, identity federation, permission boundaries, and least-privilege access controls.
• Implement and support Amazon Cognito authentication and application integration patterns where required.
• Develop and maintain reusable infrastructure-as-code constructs, stacks, and deployment patterns using AWS CDK.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments through approved DevOps and GitHub workflows.
• Automate environment provisioning, configuration, validation, promotion, rollback, and release processes.
• Implement cloud networking, secrets management, encryption, logging, monitoring, alerting, backup, recovery, and resiliency controls.

Start Date: ASAP

Type: Temporary Project

Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions

Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client's site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client. Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.

Required:

• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Juno Beach, FL.(required)
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud engineering or DevOps (5+ years).
• Experience with AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), authentication, authorization, identity federation, and least-privilege design.
• Experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) infrastructure development and deployment.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based deployment workflows.
• Experience with Enterprise AWS environments and production operations.
• Experience with AWS networking, secrets management, encryption, observability, backup, recovery, and resiliency.
• Experience with Scripting or automation using Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Bash, or comparable technologies.

Preferred:

• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, or comparable DevOps tooling.
• Experience with Reusable CDK constructs, deployment standards, account structures, and environment guardrails.
• Experience with Containerized or serverless AWS workloads and automated operational monitoring.
• Experience with Energy trading, power market analytics, utility operations, renewable energy, or forecasting platforms.
• Experience with North American ISO/RTO markets such as ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, CAISO, NYISO, or ISO-NE.
• Experience with Regulated, cybersecurity-sensitive, or compliance-driven environments.
• Relevant AWS certification.
