Job summary

Northstrat is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to orchestrate OTA software deployments to globally fielded systems, including degraded and intermittently connected environments, and to automate deployment and security tasks. The role also emphasizes monitoring health remotely to preempt failures and reduce travel.

The position requires hands-on Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes work in a hybrid on-premises and cloud environment, with virtualization experience and strong networking know-how.

Qualifications

• DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering and systems administration.
• Strong Linux administration experience in production environments.
• Experience with virtualization platforms.
• Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
• Must have the ability to troubleshoot across network and system layers.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate OTA software deployments to globally fielded systems in DDIL environments.
• Automate deployment and security of software to reduce FSR travel and increase fleet availability.
• Monitor health of live deployments remotely to preempt failures that could affect missions.
