Job summary
Swoop Technologies seeks a hybrid DevOps engineer based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area to package and automate the Platform (Linux/Kubernetes) for bare metal and cloud deployment, including air-gap environments. You will develop CI pipelines, test automation, and assist developers and deployment engineers with platform issues.
You will also manage CI resources and ensure robust test automation. Strong Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab, and CI/CD experience are required, with a view toward
Qualifications
- Scripting in Bash and Python required.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Automation of workflows and tasks.
- Strong Linux experience (Ubuntu, RHEL).
- Containerization with Docker on Linux platforms.
- Experience using both terminal and GUI IT tools.
- Familiarity with virtualization (VMware/Proxmox/KVM).
- Backup, snapshot, and failover experience.
- Git version control and GitLab in DevOps workflows.
- CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a US Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Package and automate our Platform, including Linux and Kubernetes, for bare metal and cloud deployments.
- Develop CI pipelines and test automation for deployment of Platform software.
- Assist developers with Linux and Kubernetes issues.
- Assist deployment engineers with Platform issues.
- Manage and monitor development CI resources that run the Platform using test automation.
