Job summary

Fuss & O'Neill is seeking an Industrial Technician to join our Manufacturing team. You will perform onsite machine guarding assessments, support the design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of machine guarding systems, and help troubleshoot and modify safeguards in active production environments.

This hybrid role requires a high school diploma, 2–3 years in industrial maintenance, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to travel across New England.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or related technical field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Hands-on experience with production equipment maintenance and industrial systems.
• Familiarity with OSHA General Industry Standards and ANSI B11 machine safety standards.
• Experience with design, fabrication, installation, troubleshooting, or commissioning of machine guarding systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to travel primarily throughout New England, with occasional travel outside region.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite machine guarding assessments at manufacturing facilities.
• Support design, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of machine guarding systems.
• Assist with troubleshooting and modifying machine guarding solutions in active production environments.
• Develop and support Lockout/Tagout procedures and other machine safety documentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, and operations personnel to implement practical safety improvements.
• Coordinate equipment procurement and installation activities.
• Support both new and existing clients on industrial safety and machine guarding projects.
• Travel to client facilities throughout New England, with occasional travel outside the region as project needs require.
